Noob question. I just ran across checkinstall. Is there any
advantage or disadvantage to using checkinstall vs make install
when building the FLDigi programs for Mint 13 ?

Hi Mike,

An argument could be made for or against either method. It boils down
too, your comfort level on the command line, how you like to manage
system dependencies, how well you tolerate orphaned files, things of
that nature.

If the orig package Makefile has an uninstall target, there probably
isn't much sway either way.

I'm sure you will get lots of opinions on what is "best", but the bottom
line is, "best" is what works "best" for you.
