MAC Fldigi and THOR16 mode....BUG?

Hi, I have using a MAC PowerBook G4 experienced that a well received VOAradiogram in MFSK32 do fail totally when switching to THOR 16. BUG?

This have happened earlier as well, but I thought it was a coincidence.
Some by VOA reported to have decoded well, others not, but no sorting on OS systems. Is there something special related to MACs?


This weekend I started up with the old UNIVERSAL version 3.21.82.
RS-ID did switch to THOR16 but nothing decoded, while MFSK32 and all pictures decoded perfectly.


Then Changed SW version to latest 3.21.83 Special version for Mac PPC for the perfect Sunday reception. All MFSK 32 and Pics perfect.
Helped nothing. Even Switched manually to THOR 16 before the tx from VOA.


Nothing Thor decoded.


Else: Thanks for a very versatile an useful Program running on all platforms, hoping for a future cooperation with the coming ARDOP soundcard mode intended for multi platforms and opens source and working ARQ.

In the end probably intended also working towards coming compatible Winlink Servers.

FWIW, I have used fldigi/Thor16 on a Mac without any problems. It's my preferred mode. However, IDK if RXID works properly since I'm usually the one calling CQ in the mode.

Ken Thanks. First time RX-ID changed to THOR 16. but no decode on good signals. Second time RX-ID did not work. Third time I manually switched to THOR16 in good time, on good VOA signals, but no decode.

Is perhaps Thor 16 more demaning on Mac processor than MFSK 32 or 64 text and pics?


If that is the case, it could explain.
