Properly saving macro files and negotiating the operating file system
seems to be a problem with Windows users, but this might also apply to a
few Linux and OS X users as well.

I need somehow to get your screen capture images, I guess.
The computer seems to be saving the macros, but not where they should.
After opening the flidigi configuration dialog to the macro tab, I do not
find three buttons on the bottom to check. Clearly I am doing something
wrong :-(
