Discussion:
Is "search" disabled on this group?

If I do a search when logged into this group, by typing in something like FT-857 and then click the "Search Groups" button, I get the following error message:
Oops!

Polls feature not enabled

How does one search on topics here? I haven't been on Yahoo Groups in some time, maybe they've changed something and I'm not searching correctly?

That is where I am searching, in "Conversations." I tried "messages" too, and had the same error message.

I don't see this error is other groups.

Thanks

Finn,

I think that is where he is experiencing the error; I was able to duplicate it.

Hullo Dennis et al,

1. I was curious about that and like Matthew I gave it a try.

That error does appear on the Linuxham Group and another one I tried.
The feature worked fine on two other groups. While loading some of these
groups a message flashed at the top of the screen saying . . .

"We're upgrading our systems and some functions of Yahoo! Groups will be
unavailable for a few hours. Emails sent to your groups may be delivered
late during this time. Thank you for your patience and understanding."

So, if using the Yahoo! perhaps try back tomorrow.

2. Also try this for your searching fun
http://blog.gmane.org/gmane.comp.radio.linuxham

Should work fine, given the archives of this Group's mailing list are
public.

Thanks John. It has been several days now. Perhaps they're running Microsoft products, a few hours has turned into a few days. I'll keep checking.

I'm just glad someone could reproduce it, I was beginning to wonder about my sanity.

Gmane means you can access this list thru news server, and a bi directional
one at that.

Fabulous. Maybe a gopher to fldigi bbs is next? I still have a gopher
hole on sdf.org.
