When I press the log button or use the log macro nothing is ever sent to eqsl.

I have been through all the configurations and made sure the password and account are correct. but nothing ever automatically sends any infor toe eqsl. I am a paying member so I have adif upload and downlaod capability eqsl.

As far as I know, the log button and the <LOG> macro both only do one thing. Save the qso to the logbook. You need to use the <EQSL> macro to send the qso to eqsl.cc Just be sure you execute the <EQSL> macro before you perform the <LOG> macro. There may be other ways to do this but I am a recent convert to Fldigi and this works for me.

It doesn't work no matter how I configure it. whether in the LOG button or
using a macro.

Here's the Log Macro
<EQSL><LOG>
stripped down and simple. I've tried every combination I can think of in the docs.

I have tried putting the eqsl and log's in my SK macro as well.
I've rechecked the username and password many times.
Nothing is logged on EQSL.
I'm running fldigi 3.21.70 on OSX I've had this problem on all 3 latest versions.

My setup config has:
send when logged (log button, <LOG>,<LNW> checked
use date/time off for log entry checked.
default message
{CALL}{NAME}confirming our QSO {MODE} which is the default.
I have also tried LNM in macro's and <EQSL:[some message]

My problem with eqsl is solved.
Many thanks to Steve KK4NNH.
After removing a carriage return and re checking the macro...

Turns out in my case the event log showed an error related to the nickname. eqsl was expecting "Home QTH" and I had put my home town of Milford ...

So the nickname needs to match the name of the log at eqsl

check box is set to send on logging.

Checked the Event log

in the Event logs it says:

I: EQSL_loop: eQSL logged http://www.eqsl.cc/qslcard/importADIF.cfm?ADIFdata=upload%20%3cadIF_ver:5%3e2.1.9%3cEQSL_USER:6%3ekk4nnh%3cEQSL_PSWD:11%***@QSL%3cPROGRAMID:6%3eFLDIGI%3cEOH%3e%3cBAND:3%3e20m%3cCALL:6%3eKK4NNM%3cMODE:5%3ePSK31%3cQSO_DATE:8%3e20130422%3cTIME_ON:4%3e0324%3cRST_SENT:0%3e%3cQSLMSG:58%3eKK4NNM%20Samantha%20confirming%20our%20QSO%20PSK31%2073's%20%20from%20TN!!!
%3cEOR%3e

HOWEVER.
It never seems to reach EQSL.
That being said if I cut and paste the HTTP portion of this logged line into Safari it works just fine and adds the record to eqsl.
The program thinks it's logging with eqsl but nothing actually happens.
The log line is in the correct format but somehow fldigi is never finding the web to send the information.

Works fine on OSx 10.7.5. Check in the configuration/web/eqsl page that the
check box is set to send on logging.
I am in the same boat... I am on OSX 10.8.3 and FLDigi 3.21.70 and the QSO's
are NOT sent to eQSL although I have my Configuration set exactly as the
screenshot shows.
Is this unique to OSX?

OK FOUND THE ERROR GOT IT TO LOG SUCCESSFULLY.

If there is an "ENTER" after the final portion of the message in the configuration it will not work.
Make sure there are no trailing spaces or Gd forbid a return after your logging statement in the web eqsl configuration.

That type of error would not only apply to OS X.

Steve, was the LF character at the end of the "Default Message" that you
entered on the eQSL configuration tab? What happens if the LF character
is contained within the text and not at the end? The line feed
character may need to be escaped just as the spaces are escaped.

I'll check the relevant code. Thanks for persisting and sharing your
finding.

John,
David,

I just did some more testing.
It doesn't matter where the CRLF is in the string. middle or end is the same result. It is not logged at eqsl.
If the carriage return is inside the <EQSL:[bla bla bla]> it doesn't work either.

John, I just tested your macro and it works great.
However it ONLY WORKS if the eqsl configuration tab in fldigi has no carriage returns in it.

John,
I tried your macro it works.

it's on the esql tab of the configuration.

In the default message there can't be any carriage returns.
The cursor must sit at the end of the line not at the beginning of the next
When I changed that it worked great. So you can't have "multiple lines" in the default message unless they are "wrapped" without a carriage return.
Also check that the Report RST boxes are filled with 599's or whatever.
ESQL doesn't like not having reports.
