Flrig-1.2.2 problems with a YAESU FT-950.
Tested compiled flrig-1.2.2 binary file on linux OS Ubuntu 10.04.
=====================================================================

Bandwidth List does not poll correctly.
- band and bandstack Mode changes should always update bandwidth.
Same bw index different mode.
- Sometimes shows 9000 for SSB bandwidth after changing
bands or bandstacks that involve a AM mode to SSB mode change.

Power Meter does not track radio output.
- Flrig Po meter shows 75 watts for 100 watts of radio output.

MIC Slider does not track radio mic gain.
- Flrig MIC slider shows 52 for 53, 98 for 100, etc....
- Works correctly on HRD 5.

Bandwidth LIST
LSB, USB Bandwidth - BW 2450 is no longer a valid bandwidth.

CW TAB MENU
Weight, menu 046, does not work correctly.
- Can not set to 3.1, 3.3, 3.6, etc....
- 2.8 is set to 2.7 etc....
- If you are going to add it, it should work.
QSK dly, menu 049, does not work at all!
- Changes menu 044 which I do use.

Vox TAB MENU
Data port, menu 114, is always reset to dAtA on program startup.
- Can not set to nic, microphone.
- Some people might want microphone instead of data vox.

The beauty of all of the flxxx software is that the source code in
published with every distribution, both alpha and stable.

Can you modify the source code files "src/rigs/FT950.cxx" and
"src/include/FT950.h" (and src/support.cxx if necessary) to make the
required changes, test and retest to insure that all works correctly
.... and then provide the corrected code for inclusion in the next flrig
distribution?

I do not own an FT950, so making changes here is like detecting land
mines with a blindfold on.

event log details would help on the above

Power Meter does not track radio output.
- Flrig Po meter shows 75 watts for 100 watts of radio output.
ditto here ... can you provide a table that shows fldigi Po value versus
actual?
Post by mrtembry
MIC Slider does not track radio mic gain.
- Flrig MIC slider shows 52 for 53, 98 for 100, etc....
- Works correctly on HRD 5.
same ditto ... Hurrah for HRD

Bandwidth LIST
LSB, USB Bandwidth - BW 2450 is no longer a valid bandwidth.
since when? It shows on the FT-950 Cat Operation Reference Book that I
have downloaded from Yaesu. (page 16)

- Can not set to 3.1, 3.3, 3.6, etc....
- 2.8 is set to 2.7 etc....
- If you are going to add it, it should work.
Perhaps you could explain in greater detail what this entry in the
extended command table REALLY means!

046 | CW WEIGHT | 25 (1:2.5) ~ 45 (1:4.5)

Perhaps a bit more information from Yaesu would be useful!

QSK dly, menu 049, does not work at all!
- Changes menu 044 which I do use.
That's a bug ... easy to fix.

Vox TAB MENU
Data port, menu 114, is always reset to dAtA on program startup.
- Can not set to nic, microphone.
- Some people might want microphone instead of data vox.
fldigi should save the state of the checkbox on the VOX config tab,
"Data port" That is a bug that I can fix without access to the actual
transceiver.

It's the dot:dash ratio for the internal CW keyer, just fired up
menu 046 on my FT-950 (which is running the latest firmware, v1.1.6 I
think) and it allows it to be set in increments of 0.1 over the range
2.5-4.5 inclusive. Default is 3.0

According to the FT-950 CAT manual the values used should be 25 to 45,
so multiplied 10 times from the actual value represented.

Does that help, or am I telling you things you already know?

Terry,

First, I would like to apologize for not picking up your many
contributions over the period Feb to August of this year. I'll need to
be more diligent about checking for changes on Berlios. I'll also have
to see if I can change my "git fetch" scripts to provide notification
when a berlios/.../pu/... branch has changed. All of the contributing
developers have pu branches and they are updated by my fetch script, but
no notification of changes ... bummer. The best thing to do is always
send me an email to this address (or w1hkj-***@public.gmane.org) telling me
that you've uploaded some commits for me to consider for merging. You
may have done that and I still failed to respond ... I am sorry if that
occurred.
