Well, stranger things have happened. I was doing some additional install
work on Ubuntu having nothing to do with Joe's software. I decided to run
WSJTX again. Voila I had audio In and Out choices that included the USB
CODEC. I selected what appeared to be the right pair and I instantly
started to decode signals. I then worked on the CAT radio control becuase
when the program opened it reported that error still existed. All looked to
be configured correctly but when I activated the TEST CAT button I received
an error message. Just for grins I decided to try and Engage TX in WSJTX
and guess what, it works, even though the software is saying it isn't
working and the radio does not indicate that it (FT847) is under CAT
control. Very strange and certainly not correct but it appears to be
working.
Any thoughts. I'll copy this to the list.
