<div>Warren's problem highlights the ever increasing 'lock-in-lack-of-freedom' problem when you buy a ready-to-go PC/Laptop with M$oft ware installed.<br/>

As I have done myself I suggest people to buy a 'barebone' machine adding a hard drive and other peripherals themselves. </div>

There are also companies supplying PC desktops/laptops without an operating system ; probably cheaper as well.<br/>
