Keith,

Try removing the fldigi_def.xml file and the fldigi.prefs file. The prefs could be hosed

Dick AA5VU
If I throw out the fldigi_def.xml file and rebuild it, fldigi will work perfectly until I quit and relaunch. Then I have to start all over again.
I'm asking the developers to please take a look at what the issue could be. I've included the dialog that details the issue.
Thanks in advance and if you need additional information I'm happy to give it to you.
Good Luck!

One does not "google" one uses a Search Engine to Search.
Google is merely one org offering a Search Engine and
theirs has a poor reputation for manipulating results
& they have a poor corporate reputation for invasion of
privacy.
Given the fine alternatives it must be attributed to
slick marketing that anyone uses the google search
engine.
Alternatives include ...
ixquick.com
startpage.com
duckduckgo.com
... and many others.
Funny that. All three of those, actually redirect your query through Google!
Read their T's n C's.

Ixquick and Startpage are from the same stable too.

But yes, there are others. Bing(MS) Yahoo(bought AltaVisa) to name two, that I
suspect do not just pipe your query through Google. (But from the strange
almost identical results you get, might actually just do that!)

duckduckgo.com defeats data-mining outfits simply by filtering out
anything private or personal before the search request goes through.
