Hello again all from this newbie. I have a beaglebone black running debian and want to use it with a small monitor. However, the default HDMI resolution does not work with this monitor. I need to set a custom HDMI resolution of 1024x768. However, I cannot figure out how to do it.
I found a "xrandr" command which sounds like it should work, but when I enter that command from the command line I get an error message: "Can't open display."
Can someone give me an idea of how to do this?
