Had to redo Linux after an update produced a broken pipe warning on startup. So lost the configuration for flrig to the Yaesu FT-897.

I have set dialout in terminal. PTT is to CAT. CAT rate is 38400 (also tried lower settings). No.20 on menu is set to CAT. User-U for Dig mode and radio is set to DIG.

Send Cmd part of the I/O is showing connection as that is green so it is seeing the radio. But there is no VFO frequency change yet it clicks the radio and the fan comes on then straight off again.

Am I being a numpty and missing something out. I looked through the last help from me and all are as done before.

Question: Do you use an auto tuner from LDG? If so, CAT rate needs to be 4800 in the radio and in fldigi.

Even when it is 4800, flrig does not connect. There is no switchover of
frequency.

Another question: Are you ONLY useing FLRIG? Any other software involved? If so, turn all others off and see if FLRIG works. Also with an FT-897D configuration, you should see 2 stop bits and no echo. Mine also shows "key fldigi" checked. There is very little to control on these radios with FLRIG, so I don't normally use it, but when I do, it's with FLDIGI via XML-RPC. So if FLDIGI is set to some other rig control method. they may be fighting one another for the serial port.

Check the other tabs also. Sep' PTT = NONE AUX = NONE
